When I made the decision get a Master's Degree, I choose a school in Daphne, Alabama on the eastern shore of Mobile. That's where I discovered Mardi Gras in the month of February. People from Mobile claim that Mardi Gras started in Mobile, not New Orleans, and they take the tradition very seriously. The image below is in celebration of the Mardi Gras Queen.
